BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir Bharuch

The BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Bharuch is a magnificent spiritual and architectural landmark situated on the banks of the Narmada River. It is a shikharbaddh (pinnacled) temple that serves as a hub for devotion, culture, and humanitarian activities.

The temple is renowned for its stunning craftsmanship and peaceful environment.

  • Dimensions: It stands 75 feet tall, 151 feet wide, and 193 feet long.
  • Structure: It features five majestic shikhars (spires) and is constructed from pink sandstone and marble, intricately carved by hand.
  • Site Area: The entire complex is spread across approximately 18 acres, featuring lush gardens and a clean, serene atmosphere.
  • Inauguration: The stone-laying ceremony was performed by Pramukh Swami Maharaj on January 13, 1998, and the temple was formally consecrated (Murti Pratishtha) in December 2001.

The sanctum sanctorum houses several beautiful murtis (sacred idols):

  • Central Shrine: Bhagwan Swaminarayan and Aksharbrahma Gunatitanand Swami.
